Oxfam Canada had decided to leverage Toronto's hosting of the 2010 G20 as a platform for their message about "The Robin Hood Tax." The Robin Hood Tax is a tax on banks that is used for humanitarian means - from relief for those affected by global warming to combating poverty worldwide.
Stephen Harper, the current Prime Minister of Canada, opposed this tax.
We created characters and a visual style that spoke to sincerity of the message. The animation was created digitally, then each frame was printed on acetate and photographed to create warmth and depth.
