- ‘In The Name of Art’ is a visually inventive short film of silhouettes and a world of artists. The narrative follows two artists' creation of the ultimate work of art for an art competition. Told as an oscillation between two worlds, we discover that what it takes to win an art award, often involves deception.
Story Outline:
In The Name of Art is about two artists and an art competition. When they decide to enter they
resolve to create the ultimate work of art.
The first work they produce is selected as a finalist. It arouses huge interest and they are
encouraged to take it further. However, taking it further has terrible consequences, both for the
Art competition organiser and the artists. The filmed murder of one of the artists ends in arrest and
incarceration.
